After graduation, I started my professional career in 2006 as an attorney at a law firm, where I was a made a partner during my more than 10-year tenure there. During this time, I was responsible for a number of national and international insolvency proceedings.
In 2012, I earned a master’s degree in International Business Insolvency at San Pablo CEU University in Madrid.
During my years with the firm, I participated in various conferences on corporate insolvency and I also published several articles on the subject:
In 2015, I embarked on a new professional venture together with Jean-Philippe, assisting clients in setting up business in Spain and translating various documents in this context. From 2015 to 2017, I balanced my work between my activities as a lawyer and as a translator.
Starting in 2017, I decided to devote myself full-time to translation. I certified my professional experience through a translator training course offered by Cálamo & Cran S.L., which I followed up with a second course in translation for international organisations.
We then co-founded Elettra Languages together to provide language services in the fields of law, finance and corporate communications.
After graduating from ISIT as a translator specialising in international affairs in 2003, I started working as a freelance translator the following year, specialising in finance and asset management.
In 2007, in parallel with my freelance activity, I joined RR Donnelley Financial (now Donnelley Financial Solutions) in Paris, where I managed various communication and financial publishing projects for major French groups (Sanofi, Total, Alcatel Lucent, etc.) as well as large-scale financial transactions (IPOs, high-yield debt issues, etc.). This gave me the opportunity to gain extensive experience in working with the shareholder relations departments of these groups and with the bankers and lawyers involved in the transactions.
In 2011, I became a full-time member of the company’s translation department (since acquired by SDL), where I was in charge of the Paris-based project management team for major accounts (Engie, Suez, etc.) and international law firms (Sullivan & Cromwell, Jones Day, etc.). Subsequently, I contributed to the opening of the company’s Madrid office, where I built up and managed a team of multi-talented project managers who were trained to assist the different platforms in London, Luxembourg, New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
In 2015, I left the company to resume my activity as a freelance translator with a double specialisation in finance and creative translation for corporate communications.
I also collaborated with Irene in our joint business consultancy activity. Now, with the foundation of Elettra Languages, we are both fully dedicated to providing language services to our clients.
